Crystal is just 5 months old now, and growing in confidence as well as leg length. Poor Rosie is getting very fed up with
telling her off for being too rough with her, so there has been lots of 'time out' sessions for Crystal, so Rosie can get some peace.
They curl up together to sleep and she looks like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth. Little angel. haha
Cuddling up to her Dad, one of her favourite places.
She is doing really well on her recalls, especially with other dogs, and at the moment
would rather play with me than run off with them, which is fine by me.   She has had a number of trips on the bus, to and from
Clacton, which is about  20/25 minutes and on the train, and will quite happily now trot on and off with much encouragement
at all.
She, like all Guide Dog Pups, is always very popular and people love to stop and ask if they can pet her, I apologise and say sorry, but she is working. It will be easier when she has her puppy jacket on, as that is more noticeable to some people than just the white lead and yellow flash.
I still have one or two people rush to her, bending down saying 'I know I shouldn't but.....' before I can get out
of their way.   I even had one person, get quite offensive when I stopped her feeding her biscuits. I did try to explain that
guide dogs are trained not to take food from other people, as it can detract them from guiding a blind person, if they were always begging from members of the public, mind you, I wouldn't let my own dogs be fed by people I didn't know either.
