I am sure we are visited by the 'growth fairy' each night, as she seems to grow overnight. Flora has reached that gangly stage, where she looks like she is never fed, I am increasing her food, it seems, every other day, although I have to be careful not to 'up' her food too much as it will upset her tummy,
She is now going out on the lead, and at the moment I am losing in the battle to keep her attention, as she is interested in everything, and doesn't seem to be worried by the big bus trundling by her, with all its brake and acceleration noise. She loves children so I have to be ready with a little cuddly donkey and treats to keep her attention on me if we encounter any.
She really marches out in the shops, but if she is a bit unsure of anything, will walk next to my leg, which I am quite happy about. and will just carry on, and praise her when we are passed the scary thing, as making any comforting noises will re-inforce that it is something to be frightened of.
Hopefully, this week will try to get her on a bus, even for just a ride between stops. and then build up to longer journeys.
Tomorrow, we will be taking the 45 minute car trip to the guide dog puppy class, so will be testing out, her stays, sits, general manners, walking round other dogs without trying to leap on them, ha ha easier said than done, as this class is for all those her age up to 5 months.. Such fun.
